Bombyx silk
Manually spun silk. Hanks are sold by weight.
This silk is manually produced, spun and eco dyed in Madagascar.
It can be used for needlework, crocheted work (single or twinned) or for weaving.

Wild silk
This Madagascar's specific silk is produced by the Borocera caterpillar. It's a rare silk because of deforestation. Since a few years, there is a program to replant Tapias (host tree for the Borocera).
Manually spun, very hardy, it can be used for knitting or weaving. This silk is naturally tinged from light grey to dark brown.
